Health and Golf. What’s the Connection?
Golf is not just an engaging and strategic game played with a small ball. It’s also an excellent opportunity to improve both your physical and mental health. How? 😮 Let me tell you more 😀
Sometimes I hear that golf is "expensive, complicated, and I have no one to play with," etc. As a health coach and a golfer, I can confidently confirm that this game offers a whole range of benefits for both physical and mental well-being!
I can confidently confirm, as both a golfer and a mentor in healthy living, that this game offers a wide range of benefits for supporting both physical and mental health.
During a full round of golf (18 holes), a golfer:
- burns an average of 2,000–2,500 calories;
- walks between 8 and 12 kilometers;
- focuses and plans the strategy for every single shot;
- socializes and makes new connections while playing with others.
Thus, golf is not just a game or an active lifestyle. It is a hobby that combines physical activity, improved coordination, increased focus, social interaction, and meditation to the sounds of nature.
So, if you haven’t tried golf yet, maybe it’s time to start? Let me know your answer in the comments! 😀
After all, while enjoying the game, you can simultaneously take care of your physical and mental health!
